Chapter 9

I notice we had jumped on highway 85 heading towards Gastonia. I said nothing I just wanted to see where they were taking us. We were only on 85 for a few minutes before we jumped on 485 to head towards Pineville NC. I thought they were taking us to Bills house because you can go this way to get to both of our houses, but my house is a mess due to all the packed boxes. We got off of 485 on Johnston Rd. I realize that they had us in the Ballantyne area. This is where people with some real money lived. These are some beautiful million dollar homes. The man that owns the accounting firm I work for lives in this area. He has thrown Office Christmas parties at his home and it is beautiful. He doesn’t have one of the million dollar homes, but it is close.
